Ahhhhhh!

Vacation!
What an awesome thing!

We vacationed in Montana.
What a beautiful state!

First off, a big thank you to Melody, Kainaan and the girls for letting us invade their home.

This trip made it our 6th time visiting.
Each and every time we go, we visit some place new.
This year we went up Hungry Horse Reservoir to the Spotted Bear area and took a hike to what we thought was going to be a waterfall when actually it was just a nice hike.

It didn't hit me until after returning to work and telling coworkers that we saw a bear. We saw a BEAR on our way to where we got out of our vehicles for the HIKE! What the HECK were we thinking? Oh well, we made it back safely, so did the bear. At Spotted Bear there is a people bridge over the river that we got to cross. The girls were not too sure about it but they both crossed. Cassidy said she held her breath the whole way across and Tim and I had to put Brooke in between us in order for her to cross. After they made it across the first time they thought going back was nothing. We all had a wonderful time.

Aunt Mel spotted this bear eating Huckleberries.
He just stayed long enough for us to get pictures and then he decided to vanish.

Always the pack mule.
This time he is hauling around his youngest cousin
while helping her sister cross the bridge.

Tim's sister the photographer.

The girl is a real crack-up.

Travis (Michaela's husband) took Tim and Dylan huckleberry picking. Thank you Travis! We came home with about 1 1/2 gallons of huckleberries. I can't wait to make some jam and syrup. Yum yum! If anyone wants to try it you will have to come visit me. Sorry, it is so good I am not giving jars out.

More to come...
