2011 PROM

What a handsome young man!

He was so excited about his first prom.
He borrowed his cousins (Brandon Tyler) hot rod truck.
He enjoyed being able to drive around and rev the engine, just to turn heads.

His date Mandy.
She is really growing on him....

You got to admit, they do look good together.
Mandy is good people and we are very proud of his choice.

Brooke's 9th Birthday

Can you believe our baby is "9" years old?
Brooke is absolutely her own person. Her personality continues to amaze us. She has a very sharp sense of humor but does not use against people.
You know when you can joke with her, but she will let you know when you can't.
She has a very kind soul and does not like to see anyone being bullied or made fun of.

She and her inseparable friends. Grace, Gracie and Hope. A little ornery action from her Aunt Christy in the background.

Anxious for summer, though the weather wasn't quite cooperating they went to the park and found a puddle of water to play in anyway.
Oh brrrr!

This girl would probably ride it to school if we would let her.
She really loves bike riding.

The last second butterfly cake that she waited until 3 hours before
the party to request. Thank goodness Aunt Christy showed up in
time to help me decorate it.

Everyone enjoying Brooke's "No dishes meal".
She has requested this for the last several years.

Cassidy sent Brooke on a treasure hunt. The first present had a note which sent her hunting through the house for another note which then in turn led her to several more notes. The 'goose chase' ended with her in her bedroom and the last note said just press play. That's when she discovered the Taylor Swift CD she has been wanting that Cassidy gave her. She had a great time with this adventure.
Way to go Sis!

8th Grade Senior Prom

This Prom is where each 8th grader has to invite someone over the age of 50 (a senior) to a dance. They dress up as if it was a high school prom.

Cassidy, Brooke and Mom had an awesome time shopping for a dress.
We only tried on about 4 dresses before coming to the dress she chose.

Dylan's girlfriend, that is not his girlfriend and one of her friends volunteered to do Cassidy's hair for her. We think Cassidy was a little awe stricken by the high schoolers as they talked and curled her hair and talked and sang and talked, oh and talked.....
