Cassidy warming up before the big event. Her love for this sport is not unlike her mothers. When she is on court her competitive spirit comes on strong.
Cassidy is the "B" team setter and subs for the "A" team. Hasn't seen any playing time for the "A" team but she is thrilled that she was chosen.

Every time I went to take pictures of Cassidy setting, #28 (Morgan, Cassidy's best friend) was in the way. Not her fault just playing the sport.

Dylan #75 can you find him?
Football guys on their way to the field for another victory. Mission Valley varsity is 3-0. Dylan was chosen JV player of the week. Not bad for just coming off the injury list. He kicked a*# last night on the field. Lots of tackles.

You can't see the 5 on his shirt because 53 is in the way but looking at this picture you can see how big his opponent was (#75 also). This was a tough battle for Dylan.

Dylan on the offensive side of the ball.

Brooke and her friend Hope cheering for the varsity team. Mission Valley does not have cheerleaders. Yes, you read that right. The year started with 4 but 2 quit so the rest decided to throw in the towel. The lady in the green shirt is Kristen, one of our very best friends. She loves to take pictures of the football team and is awesome at it.

Tim smoked three pork roast for pulled pork sandwiches and we had other miscellaneous items including cheese that Tim loves to smoke and he does a mighty fine job I might add.

After dinner, the kids stayed at the house while the adults went to the Buffalo Inn (the only bar in Eskridge, which is just across the alley) to play poker.
Good friends Good times! Thank you to all who came to help Tim celebrate.
Leslie's cousin has a truck and he participates in these mud runs all over Kansas. Turns out his truck was broke but we went anyway. Chet and Christy ventured out with us.
There she is leading the pack. After the first race, they asked for those over 12 who wanted to participate. Three other females handed their dollar over to Cassidy as well. She walked away $12 dollar richer. Not to mention all the mud and a few scraps on the bottom of her feet.
After the first race they both wanted to go again so Cassidy used her winnings to pay the entry fee for her and Corey to race again. This was with the older group.
Cassidy is learning that girls like to play in mud also. A girl owns and drives this pink truck.
Brooke enjoying the mud pit. This shows you how deep the pit really is.

We are very fortunate the bus picks up the kids right in front of our house.
